Miss Talking To You Card

Here's a card I made today for my grandchildren :) Love, love, love my grandchildren!! :) I used my Cricut Expression with the Wild Card cartridge. The blue card stock is from a paper pack by Best Occasions (Walmart). The printed paper I bought at a yard sale ;) I just LOVE yard sales! :) Saves me money to shop some more ;) The colored paper used for the sentiment on the front is from a "scrap pack" I got at Walmart in the scrapbooking dept. They are different colors and textures of paper cut into different sized squares. The sentiment is also from the same design group on the Wild Card cartridge. It's on page 27 if you have numbered your pages in your handbook starting with the first design. I got this idea from another crafter, of whose name I cannot remember right at this moment (sorry), but when I do remember it or find it I will post it here in this post. It's now going to drive me crazy till I figure it out and give them credit for this wonderful time saving tip, Ok, back to the info giving, I built up my sentiment using 4 layers of the same sentiment cut from plain white card stock glued together with Zig 2 way glue. Once I had the thickness to my liking I then glued on the colored paper I'd chosen. Below the card is the envelope I made for it using the Wild Card cartridge also. Butterfly Friendship Easel Card

Hi again, it certainly doesn't seem like the entire week has gone by already. Here is a card I created. It's design is called an "easel" card. I watched a tutorial on YouTube.com. which is a great source for many different tutorials. Unfortunately it has been removed by the user. It was very informative and basic for the beginner (like me) yet very attractive. However, I just used the basic idea and altered the card using my own idea. Still basic, but it was received very well :) It's always nice to be able to bring a smile to someone's face :) Anyway, here is my version.

Thinking of You

Hi all, this is a card I made this evening. I'm sorry I don't know the company the paper is from, but the name of the pattern is Poppy Plaid Printed Flat Paper. The base is a half sheet of plain white card stock cut in half long ways then folded in half which would make it 5.50 x 4.25. The patterned paper that was previously mentioned is cut at 5.25" x 4". The girl with her flowers was a image I printed from a card creation software on my computer then colored in with glitter pens I bought at Walmart in the scrapbooking section. I then cut the corners off with a corner punch. The ribbon is from Portafolia Gifted Memories Scrapbooking Ribbons, however there is no style name on the spool of the ribbon. I used EK Success 3D Dots on the back of the little girl to lift her off the card for a 3D effect. The "Thinking of You" sentiment is a Kolette Hall design which was designed for Studio G. It was inked and stamped in Colorbok Earthy Ores Black. I personally wish I'd have paid more attention to the lettering on the stamp as I had hoped for a bolder print, but, as usual, I live and learn. At any rate, I do like this card & I hope the recipient does also. Oh, I almost forgot, the edges of the little girl were inked in Colorbok Earthy Ores Brown. I wanted a little something to bring out the yellow, orange, & pink flowers so they wouldn't get "lost" among the blues and purples. Just a little something to "break it" just a bit. Be blessed!

Rock Star card

Hi everyone, here's a card I created last night. I used my Cricut Expression, Wild Card cartridge, and DCWV Rockstar cardstock, I then cut the wording on my Cricut using Black Rose font in my SCAL program. I then inked the lettering with my black ink from my ColorBok Earthy Ores ink pad collection tray. Once I had it inked up well, I heat embossed it with Zing's Clear embossing powder. I then added the star overlay and lifted it up off the card for a 3D effect using 3D Dots by EK Success. In creating the matching envelope I used Terrifically Tacky tape to be sure it did not come apart. Using a strong tape or glue is very important. It would be so sad for the card to reach it's destination only for the recipient to find it coming apart.

Flowery Thank You Card

Hi, here is a card that I created using my Cricut Expression and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The card all items are made from card stock I bought at Walmart. If you are in the market for a cutting machine and considering buying a Cricut.....think long and hard first. There are many machines on the market comparably priced that do much more than the Cricut is able to do and the company who makes the Cricut has made it very clear they have no intention of offering these new options to their customers.

Ok, I thought I would put up some photos of my craft room  :) Wow! Ok, I didn't realize how much my craft room had changed and supplies had grown till I revisited these photos! I definitely need to get some updated photos! This will be ranked highly on my "to do list".

Lil' Miss Brailey's Bag

Here is a cute little bag I made using my Cricut Expression for a friend's new grand-daughter. I used the Plantin Schoolbook & Home Accents cartridges for my greeting. I used SCAL to make my flower and some *bling* I have for the center of the flower.
